Join us for a discussion about inclusiveness and implicit bias in volunteer management. Our presenter will be speaking about the inclusive customer service training that was developed for the docents at the National Museum of American History; including modules about accessibility, implicit bias, and visitor experience - tailored to their roles on the floor of the museum.

Presenter:  Jocelyn Knauf, Docent Program ManagerNational Museum of American History

Jocelyn Knauf supervises the approximately two hundred docents who provide onsite daily programming about American history through tours, exhibit spotlight talks, and hands-on carts. Her primary responsibilities include docent recruitment, training, enrichment, evaluation, and interpretive program development. She is particularly interested in how museums can enhance critical thinking skills, broaden perspectives, and inspire lifelong learning through interpretive programming and volunteer engagement.
