As a leader of volunteers, you know how to recruit people to fill organizational needs—but what do you know about the impact of those roles on your volunteers?  Join the NVAVA board and members for our upcoming training on Thursday, March 16th as we examine how to make volunteers’ experiences more engaging!  This presentation will be given by Courtney Tull, a fellow leader of volunteers who has done extensive research on roles, motivations, and how to improve outcomes and experiences for volunteers!

According to Courtney, volunteers want to connect with an organization that shares their values and goals, but they want more than a common set of interests!  Volunteers want to “find a particular role that will help them use their skills, learn new skills, and contribute to their social, physical, and mental health.”  (Quoted from Courtney’s article in “New Voices and Perspectives in Volunteer Engagement,” by Erin Spink, MA).

Join the NVAVA at the March 16th training and gain new insights on how to meet your volunteers’ unique needs, while also achieving your organizational goals!

Courtney a prevention scientist, community health advocate, and certified volunteer administrator who uses quantitative and qualitative research skills to communicate data to diverse audiences.

Join us on Thursday, March 16, at 9:30 a.m. on Zoom (link will be sent to registered attendees).
