Setting volunteers up to be successful is only half of the equation… you also need to make sure your colleagues understand your agency’s volunteer program and roles, and know how to help you ensure the organization gets the greatest benefit of that resource. Join NVAVA members at a professional training session on September 15th (9:30-11:00 a.m.) featuring Angela Williamson, CVA. Angela will discuss what prompted her to create trainings for her colleagues at the Blood Bank of Delmarva, and how it helped her program. She’ll offer guidelines you can use to frame success and identify potential roadblocks, and you’ll have a take-away template you can use to create your own trainings for staff.
Angela is the Community and Volunteer Relations Specialist for the Blood Bank of Delmarva, and she serves on the board of the Delaware Association of Volunteer Administrators (DAVA). She is also a member of the Association of Leadership in Volunteer Engagement (ALIVE) Healthcare Community of Practice team leader.
Join us on Thursday, September 15, at 9:30 a.m. on Zoom (link will be sent to registered attendees) for a 90-minute presentation.
